Light Fixture Design

The objective of this project was to take the knowledge I've learned thus far in Lighting 350 and apply it to a laundromat café. The fixture provides both task and ambient lighting to the space. My design replicates the motion of the drum inside a washing machine as it turns and rotates; the fixture is made to give off the same feeling. Multiple ideas and sketches are shown on the second image, but I felt limited to a horizontal design so I flipped it and developed a vertical fixture that felt more energetic and practical.
